PLEASE have your verification ready

Hello everybody - I'm a T-Mobile rep... normally, customers are very good at verifying an account. They provide either the last four of the SSN/TaxID based on account type, or a password if it has been set up.

Customer know what we need, and have always been very good at this. I get a verification escalation about once every two weeks, but it never goes anywhere becuase of FCC regulations.

I try hard NEVER to quote contract terms, or quote rules that are doled out by a federal agency, like the FCC. I save that until last, I know nobody likes to hear that from a representative.

Lately, I have been getting LOTS of calls from custoemrs, individual and business, that just simply dont have the required verification (last of SSN/TAXID(EIN) or password).

Please people - if you are calling T-Mobile, and you don't have the proper account verification, and you have ANY questions about the account, hang up, get the information, and call us back. Our verification method is approved by the FCC. FCC regulations state that without completing verification, you have no access to the account.

As everybody knows, the FCC is a federal comission, and their regulations are Federal Law. Please do not ask a representative to break the law simply so you know when your billing cycle closes. Get your verification info together BEFORE you call us. Thank you.
