T-mobile doesn't have 4G, they have HSPA+ which is just ramped up 3G. They called it 4G because AT&T used to call it that. Technically it is still a 3G network. LTE and WIMAX are they only 4G networks out there.

I don't blame T-mobile though for that, heck if you were possibly going to be bought out why spend all the cash to upgrade to LTE? Now that the deal fell through maybe they will start upgrading their network, and who knows they are probably already working on it.
