advice on older phones

My wife is switching from Verizon to my T-mobile account so we can share minutes. She wants an old-technology phone since she only uses her cell phone for voice calls. She requires a small phone -- under 3.5oz and less than 0.6" thick. She likes the thin clamshell designs, but would consider a bar phone.

Using the awesome search engine on this site, I came up with a short list:

Nokia 5130
Nokia 5310
Nokia 6300
Samsung T519
Ericsson Equinox
Moto RAZR V3

As usual, the reviews are mixed, but I can ignore issues related to texting, internet, music, camera, speakerphone, etc. Reception is important. Less so battery life. Any thoughts?

5310 all the way... Still getting customers that STILL have this phone in working condition. VERY thin phone. Feels like you will break it, but unless you are trying not many have.

5130 is actually the newer phone dispite the number sequence, nokia odd system for models. It does have a louder speaker and feels more durable.

Both have buit-in fm radio. Micro SD and a camera. Both will have simial reception patterns.

Exquinox is not a popular phone, it seeems to drop calls for us here in MN.

RAZR my be a step too far back.

Tony, from your reply, I take it you're a dealer? Have you owned the 5310? If so, wonder if you could comment on the following complaints that would be important to my wife:

1. Vibrate strength - wife cannot have ringer on at work. I only found one review that even mentions vibrate, but the reviewer said it was weak.

2. When holding phone, slight touch to MP3 buttons activates music (this came up several times; not sure if this can happen during a call?)

3. Accidental activation of phone and/or music in pocket. Un...

Thanks for the advice. I'm taking a close look at the 5310 now.

MyTouch is thin, but at 5oz, it weighs 25% more than her current phone. No go.
