Actually the huge difference between the two is that the Galaxy S 4G is going to be the first phone to get theoretical peaks of up to 21.1 and according to a real-world study done by msnbc the Galaxy S 4G peak at 10.34 mbps with an average speed of 7.81 mbps and the mytouch peaked out at 6.18mbps with an average of 4.71 mbps.

Call me stupid but a 3mbps difference in connection speed is insane. To be honest with you if you like your phone and have no problems with it I would wait until T-Mo has the system upgraded to the 42 mbps by the end of this year and start rolling those phones out.

I mean is 10 months of waiting worth saving money. Cause look at it this way say you get a free phone now and renew your two year contract. Ten months down the road in December when they have phones capable of theoretical speeds of up to 42 mbps and you want that then you aren't eligible for even an early upgrade at that point. So once you hit that 11 month mark and your eligible for an early upgrade then your still gonna pay an arm and a leg for one.

So if you wait and keep your full upgrade (2 years) and wait for one of those phones I bet you would get a sick deal one on of those.

Granted anything is better than a 2g only phone but the question you should ask yourself is it worth getting something that is gonna be old news in a couple months.

If you do decide to upgrade I would definitely recommend waiting for the Galaxy S 4g its only a couple weeks away!!!! ... »

Theres the link if you wanna check out that study that was done
