Go to a store and say you want "FLEXPAY-U"
That means your on a flexpay non contracted account. They don't run your credit, no contract, rate plans are less expensive, pay full retail for phone.
But if you did that you can't take advantage of the "4G/HSPA+" Web. You would be stuck with the 3G.
