Data plan question
A 3rd party retailer is offering free unlimited web & Email for a Blackberry with TMO.
Question is why is it free with a Blackberry OS 6 and they charge for say an Android phone? 😕
If I start out with the free data plan would I be able to swap SIM cards into a Android device and keep my free data package?
...
I don't know how they would provide you a free data plan, unless they are crediting your account for x number of months. Or they are taking a plan like "unlimited talk, text, and web" and saying the data is free with it. Well, yeah, but its not free, its just included in the cost already. 3rd party retailers can't do anything about plans or cost of service, since those are set by the carrier, not the retailer. The only thing the retailer can do is with the cost of the device, which they control themselves. Either way, the retailer is lying to you by telling you its free.

Thanks for not answering my question. 😡
Check out Let's Talk and choose the new BB Bold, you'll see free web & Email promo.
...
The answer was that it sounds fishy. And no, with Let's Talk they have very strict guidelines regarding any changes to the account. What is cool is that most Androids will still work with the BB web feature on there, so in theory, it should work without having to make any changes.
And as for Let's Talk, I won't even click on their POS site. Read your fine print carefully, I have had A LOT of pissed off Let's Talk customers...

Are you looking at the 1500 minute promo?
...
I went through let's talk and saw no such promo, other than if I selected the 1500 minute promo for $79.99, which already includes web, which is why its "free".
...
There is a promo 1500 minute plan. That Includes the 1500 anytime minutes, unlimited text, unlimited web for a price of $79.99.
Lets talk may advertise it as free but its bundled into your plan. So it's not going to be free for "x" number of months, thats what your paying for and that's what the actual plan consists of.
