I know in the system I used to use you could see the shipping date on the orders, but it would varry on when they would arrive. They probably coiuld see when it shipped out and would have an estimate on when it would come in, but management most places will tell the employees that they are NOT allowed to give out an approximate date. There are several reasons, but mainly it's to keep people from getting angry if the phone doesn't arrive when a sales rep gave a certain date. For example, if a rep were to tell you they should have some on monday, and you go monday and take time out of your schedule to get it and they ended up not getting their shipment, you'd be a little upset because someone told you they'd probably have some around monday. Other reasons could be they have a manager who wants them to sell what they have, not what they don't have so don't talk about phones that aren't in the store. It could be that their ordering system is different and they really can't see the shipping dates so they don't know when they'll get that phone and they just know that they get shipments of stuff on _____ day of the week. It's not like a small business where the owner has to purchase and order everything themselve so they know when it's getting there. Espeically if it's a corporate store vs 3rd party location. 3rd party may be more likely to know when they're coming in.
