As a customer myself, I have no idea, it was a promotional offer, I jumped on it (pushing 3000 txt msgs a month). I told a lot of my friends, some got it, some did not, and the promotion expired. I know a lot of people still asking when will that offer return…Good Question. 😳

ok so in short you are saying that it is in no way possible for any rep to add this to an acct?

No rep can add it to an account. In fact, if you HAVE it on your account, and you change your plan, you're going to lose it and cannot get it back.

Customer Care is all about who you get a hold of and how much they like you. I am a 3+ year veteran in a Corporate T-Mobile and had 2 1/2 years in Indirect.

First, if you change your plan and CC rep tells you you will lose a feature, ask them nicely to change the plan without removing the features. More often than not they will and very often the feature stays. Don't be rude, I say "do you think you could just change the plan without changing the features please?" (it doesn't always work but it has enough times for me to be confident that it's worth a try)

I have also been successful at getting CC reps to add the Unl Text feature to three different accounts. It is Grandfathered but can be used as a Save tool.

Be nice to your Custome...

Actually, if you change to certain plans it drops off automatically and Santa Claus himself can't put it back on, even if you threaten to cancel. The best thing to try is looking online. Normally really good promos like that come out in 2 cases...Christmas time and if they're getting a phone that is built specifically for sms. For example...When the Nokia 6800 came out it was all about texting so the unlimited text came out at the same time. If you're really doing around 3000 sms a month it might be worth it to, even if you don't have a sidekick, add a sidekick feature that comes w/ unlimited text. It's $20 a month, but...6.99 for the first 1000, then .05 each after that (2000@.05 each=$100.00 plus tax). I think the 20.00 would be worth it.....

Actually you can have sidekick and t-zones feature, I didn't think it was possible either, but I'll be damned if my boss and I didn't see it the other day...The guy had a sidekick and another normal cell phone and he liked to swap them out every couple days or so, and the account took t-zones and sidekick. I've actually seen a BB soc and t-zones on an account together, too.
