$41 Bills? Holy schnykees! That's a lot o' $$. I just don't see this being a good idea for Cingular. I see it being great for us (TMobile). We have basically doubled our subscriber base from around 6 to 13 million in 2 years. While we might not be the best carriers I think we are top 2 with Verizon being 1st. Our customer service is great. We've spent over $2.5 Bill on new towers in the past 2 years. In '02 most of our towers were to increase our "footprint" of coverage but in '03 we were basically making our footprint better. We put up extra towers in high usage areas and filled in gaps were we could. I think we could pass Sprint this year and become #3 (with ATT and Cing merging that makes the big 5, not the big 6). Nothing's stopping us except for our own stupidity. What I see is basically a bidding war for customers as far as rate plans are concerned. I could see us coming out with some freaky rate plans with more whenever minutes and maybe 3 day wkends coming back but maybe having unl nts included with them. Have unl tmob added onto some rate plans for free. Who knows...it's an exciting time and I am PROUD to be a TMobile employee and a Customer Pro.
