Coverage Issues With T-Mobile Dash 3G

I've had the T-Mobile Dash 3G for awhile now, and it seems to have done okay when I first purchased it ("okay" being that there isn't 3G in my area yet 😢 ).

Recently, however, I've been experiencing some problems with it. I have to power cycle the phone at least twice a day because I lose connection with the EDGE network and I randomly drop calls (rarely, but irritating nonetheless).

At first, I thought it was a device issue, but my friend has a BlackBerry Curve 8320 and she is experiencing the same issues too.

I've called customer service. No outage.

I read somewhere on here that T-Mobile has been steadily canceling roaming agreements with AT&T and steadily overlaying with their own towers. If that's true, might that be the...

they only have one roaming agreement with ATT so that is false. And they may be adding their own towers but with tmobile if you are in an area they service and have no service you can't roam at all. Its not like CDMA were if you have no signal it will roam.

I went into a T-Mo store today and the rep told me there's a problem with 3G phones dropping calls and there's a fix in the works. I have a Sony Ericsson equinox and it hasn't been working due to the outage. She said it should be fixed in the next 24 to 48 hours.
