Is t-mobile or any other carrier going to put up towers and expand in South Dakota, the only place with GSM coverage is in Sioux Falls.

quite actually coverage will expand to major highways in some cities in Q4 this year and Q1 next year as Western Wireless converts their signals to GSM and opens the towers up to T-Mobile roaming. This goes for Montana, North Dakota, and a part of Montana, too, I've seen the alleged map.

One more question. Does anyone know if T-mobile, Cingular, AT&T Wireless will be offering GSM phone plans?? The only plans that are offered are from Unicel which is partnered with T-mobile. Unicel only lets you use your phone in the Sioux Falls metro area, if you go out of this area then u will be charged. So it will be nice to have a better GSM carrier here.

sadly because this will be a roaming market for t-mobile (and the other carriers, too) service at this time will not be available, only from regional carriers. maybe western wireless will sell out there?
