Re: merging thoughts
In my opinion concerning a few things, go with Coverage 1st...the merger will defienitly increase the GSM Network for the 2 companies, but the thing to keep in mind is that it is a "merger" in more than one context, and given the fact the T-Mobile, AT&T, and Cingular all have roaming agreements with eachother in select markets, it will be more of an overlapping of multiple cell sites, more so than a "expansion". The thing to add to this is the phone support, each company has shared phone tastes like SE T616 so it will come down to a re-vamp of ESN/IMEI's, so some head butting will happen, but should be a decently smooth transaction over time.
Next - Customer Service/Contracts...well we know how bad @ times CC can be for both companies...of course with nationwide call centers in affect it will be server/center number issues, this of course can be worked out as well, we (T-Mobile) will still always have them beat in this realm.
The biggest thing should be more positive than negative, this is 3G! Ultimetly the 3 of us will probably be joined, this is just the 1st step...till DT/T-Mobile buys both out. With the concentration now in the 3G technologies between all 3 companies being on one side the GSM alliance of the 3..and on the other CDMA2 with Spring/Nextel/Verizon
Either way i think we will have to see how things go along once the transaction is complete. Dont wanna take up 2 much and write a book..just being brief.
