I have a Samsung Behold. I've had it for about a year and I'm getting a little tired of it. I'm thinking of buying a blackberry pearl 8120... what are your thoughts?

I will use the scheduling, I'm constantly checking my work and personal email, I do use the web and did have the 8100 but got rid of it because it kept lagging and after sustaining alot of damage things starting falling apart.

OK GO!

hmmmm... I didn't even know there was a forum like this until you said so and your thread was closed.

As I stated before I think you should go for an Andriod phone. The blackberry pearls set up really donesn't do it for me.

The 8120 is discontinued already, why would you downgrade to a non-3G device? If you're gonna get a Blackberry, don't settle for a 2 1/2 year old phone. Go 3G and go with Android or the HD2, unless you really have your heart set on Blackberry, then go with the 9700.

Why would you consider going to such an outdated phone at this point? Is it the size? What has you considering THAT blackberry? Why not try the latest version of the Curve with optical trackpad? Less problems with navigating menu screens.

Check out my profile, might have some info there that you find useful.

Considering you have used an 8100 and are semi-familiar with a RIM device, I would suggest checking out the 9700 Bold. However, coming from experience of using/selling the products, Android is the way to go. It has the push email with gmail and a simple calendar/organizer. Best advice is play with the 9700 and either the Cliq XT or the Mytouch. Goodluck!
