If I keep my AOL AIM online all day on my e105, will I still be using my minutes?

Thanks!

Greetings Jamie,

AOL Instant Messanger does not use your Minutes when running, it does however take a tally against your bucket "SMS" (Text Messages) a month so i.e : if you send 100 AOL messages during the month, whether just a quick "hello" or a big sentance it will only cost you the 100 messages sent.

And incase you dont already know we offer 2 Text Messaging plans $2.99 300 Messages or $6.99 1000 Messages.

Enjoy

😁
you also get charged a message just for logging in to AIM, and one for updating your buddy list, and adding or deleting a buddy and logging out... Please be careful with this AIM feature as i have seen bills in the 1000.00s of dollars due to careless usage. Turning your phone off does not log you out of AIM, you are still connected to the server as far as AOL is concerned and therefor can still recieve messages and rack up a HUGE bill...

Keep in mind you can access AIM from our T-zones service as well, which is unlimited for 4.99. Connecting and going to AOL's wap site doesn't use messages, so this may be less expensive for you.

So, this AIM is a bust. Why does T-mobile even have the service then? Does 2 way work even if someone else is with another carrier?

The text message based AIM service is more convenient for people who don't want to log in using T-zones. It's also cheaper if it's used infrequently. Some older phones don't allow access to T-zones.

What is this 2 way thing you are speaking of? If you mean mobile to mobile, then no, it's only free between T-Mobile phones.
