any idea when the new androids will get to t-mobile?

HTC Magic or Ion or whatever name they decided to rename it.

And the Samsung one.

Thanks!

T-Mobile doesn't sell androids. To my knowledge, there aren't any androids in the world that they can sell.

The sell phones that run the Android operating system.

The way you worded your question would be the same as asking, "When will the new Windows come out? Anyone know when the new Symbians are due out?"

Pretty obnoxious.

you knew what he meant when he phrased it that way...it is the same as asking when the new windows mobile will be out? T-mobile sell "sell phones," they sell "cell phones."

TOOL!!

You caught a typo, but you caught the wrong one. It should have read:

They sell phones that run the Android operating system.

Not:

The cell phones that run the Android operating system.

Your "correction" just leaves the sentence as a fragment. Thanks for trying though. I appreciate your sincerest attempts at making my typos worse.

Also, you just reiterated the point I was making. Asking when the new Windows Mobile will be out is idiotic unless you're wondering about the next version of Windows Mobile. Trying to ask when the Touch Pro 2 is coming out by saying, "When is the next Windows Mobile coming?" is moronic. The same thing applies to Android.

this reminds me of an argument with a custy i had about whether or not you can 'google' something... i said you could because english is not a dead language, i mean, if i can ball someone, why cant i google something?

I have the same feelings about "googling something" or "add me to your facebook/myspace" or "facebook me" etc. When did nouns become verbs? When did the general public become so lazy that they can't finish their sentence (by adding "page" to the end of facebook/myspace)? Communication is a lost art. At the current rate of change, I'm not going to be able to talk to anyone in ten years.

Yes its getting more simplistic when it comes to tech jargon, but then again its still a relatively new conversation peice... But the replacement of nouns for verbs is not new, I saw video from the 60's where someone asked another if they wanted to ball (refering to baskettball), or to phone someone (Im sure edison did not have that in mind when he named the telephone)... It just now is more prevelent when refering to these specific things due to the fact that english is an everchanging language, always has been.

tho in this specific case, i do agree with you, an android is a robotic device, and a cool name for an os, but i dont call phones dashboards just cuz thats the operating system they use

I still refuse "Do you have any new androids coming?" I can't even think of a good analogy for it. It's like asking, "Do you have any of those 8 megapixels coming soon?" as opposed to asking for a digital camera.

Its going to be called the MyTouch. Nothing official yet but will probably be as early as end of June. Most likely July though.

The samsung i7500 and the G1v2 will be out Q4 like around October.

From what I have read in one of my emails that the myTouch will be coming out at the end of June now. Just took some training on cupcake and the hire ups were making sure everyone had it finished immediately so sound like its coming sooner than later. Makes sense, try and steal some of the steam of the iphone.
