Hi this is me again. Thanks for everyone's info. I think AT&T is giving me the runaround. I am wondering if I have found a loophole or not and if I have if they are trying to stall the change so I don't port w/o paying a early termination fee? I did the x-fer of responsiblity change last week and it still is not processed. I actually have done this financial responsiblity change thing a few times on prior lines of service and it only usually took an hour or so. If I can get the financial change done and port within the 30 days, so as to avoid the early termination charge it would be great. I actually used to be an Indirect dealer of AT&T and so I contacted my former Direct Sales rep contact and he doesn't think that this loophole exists. He thinks that the contract goes right over w/o this 30 day grace period. I don't know why AT&T customer care tells the new responsible party this though when the new party is agreeing to the terms and conditions then if my old friend is correct. From testing a few phones today I have confirmed that T-mobile has a much better signal (gsm) in the neighborhood/area I live.I live North of Salt Lake in the Davis/Weber County area.
