Treo, Blackberry Plan & ActiveSync?
I'm currently using the Total Internet with HotSpot data plan ($29.99) with my Treo 680. I've heard I can use the Blackberry Unlimited plan ($19.99) - since I do not want HotSpot. Is this true? Will it work with ActiveSync? (I assume so since ActiveSync is using port 443.)

To the best of my knowlege the blackberry feature doesn't block access to port 443, however you will have to reconfigure your settings and you would have to find someone who would add that feature onto a non-blackberry device. Also they may make you switch back at some point because its not the "correct" feature for your device.

I got something even better for you. You can drop the $29.99 Unlimited Internet and pick up the $5.99 TmobileWeb. I found this out by luck. I have the Tmobile Dash and originally had the 29.99 plan but had no need for the t-mobile hotspot. You can do everything that you can with the Unlimited Internet (Over the air Activesync, Direct Push Email, Internet Browsing) minus the HotSpots. Of course the Tmobile Reps don't tell you that you can use this plan with the Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphones but you definately can. Trust me, this is the best move i've made with my phone in a while.

I read that open access via TMobileWeb was only temporary??

Keep in mind that if you are on the wrong data plan T-Mobile legally can go back and charge you for all the data you used while on the wrong plan if they choose to... its really better to just pay for what you are supposed to...
