I know Cingular has decided to pull the 600 because of its problems. Does T-Mobile have any plans to do the same? I was considering buying the 600 and signing with T-mobile. Please reply. Thanks

No, not at all.
First of all:
Cingular decided to drop it because of the problems the phone had w/ the 850 MHZ gsm network. T-Mobile does not operate in that band, but only 1900 MHZ.
Second:
Why would they think of even doing that? The phone took longer to be released because of bug problems, that have been fixed already, and now is virtually free of defects.
The problems that affected Cingular and AT&T will not affect T-Mobile.

Don't forget to mention that T-Mobile has roaming agreements with ATTWS and Cingular, and off net they MAY have problems.

I got this phone the day it hit the stores.

all the dorks that have been whining about the moto issues and how this phone would suck are once again wrong.

I have better reception that any samsung that I have ever had. The bluetooth connected right up and has not had any issues. The speaker is loud, even if you cant connect it until after a caller answers.

I have travled with this phone and it works great everywhere, the colors are good, and the camera works great too.

T mo took the time to get it right and it works.

All the talk of a recall and issues are nothing to do with the T mo version of the 600.

You shouldn't sign with a company just because you like a phone they have. If you really like the V600 buy an unlocked one and sign with a company you like or buy one with AT&T or cingular and have it flexed or flashed to the newest firmware.

It is not just about the v600. I have always believed that T-Mobile surpasses many other carriers in different areas, especially customer service and affordability. The phone is simply an added bonus.

Gee, that's funny... I would think being able to use your phone would be in there somewhere...lol. Just kidding. But what plans do you find more affordable on T-Mobile than most other GSM carriers?

Overall, and bear in mind when I say this that I am looking at the total package... coverage, activation and starting costs, features, etc. I wouls have to go with Cingular.

The 1000 whenever minutes looks good for 39.99 until you look at what you really get... 1000 minutes, period. You will use those peak, off peak, N&W... everything. Whereas for the same 39.99 you can get unlimited M2M, 5000 N&W and 450 nationwide minutes with greater coverage area and no roaming charges. T-Mobile comes out ahead for serious power users that use a ton of peak minutes, but that's a very small group. The average customer will come out ahead with Cingular.

Another thing that bothers me with T-Mobile is the fact that any line activated, including the "fr...

The tmobile plan is 1000 minutes anywhere without any roaming as well, which is pretty good for I think a greater amount of people. I don't thinkg young people who are up at night bouncing around would like this plan, I think it's for people that work and are in bed an hour into their off peak time.

also keep in mind contract length when signing up with a carrier. If you don't mind a two year, cingular is great. but if you don't then it is a bad choice

We offer subsidies on one year contracts, and promotional features as well. For example, a customer walks in and wants a one year contract. They pay $50 more for the phone, and get the same rate plan features as a two year contracts.

The only time you lose both subsidy and promo is the no contract deal. And actually, there is still a discount on those phones.

Poor thing! obviously you have not been in the boonies, or pretty much any deserted County Road in the US, or maybe you have never left town! when you do so come back to this forum and let us all know if you still think the same about your carrier...
