Well there was a class action law suit against them for not honoring rebates they promised. You'll get the $50 from t-mobile, but I wouldn't hold my breath on the $100 from them.

You cannot really trust any online system besides for the company’s websites. If you purchase from the channels that you just mentioned always purchase with a credit card because they will back you up with anything. (If you have AMEX use it)

Yes, you can absolutely trust AMAZON.COM I have purchased tons of items from them and their return policy is outstanding. I had to return a phone once. No problems. Received my rebates just fine.

here is the problem with Wirefly, you cant change to a lower plan for 1 yr or they can charge you 250 dollars, you cant port a number after the fact or they will charge you 250, you cant change your t mobile number for a year or they will charge you 250. As far as Amazon, they don't have the same aggreement however you better buy it quick cause T-Mobile is taking the Pearl away from the Value Added Resalers (VAR) once they are out of inventory cause they free price is devaluing the handsets.

I say buy it in a store, even if its an indirect. That way if you have a problem you at least have someone to go back to. Also be sure to read the complete terms and conditions if you go through a VAR or indirect because they often have things that are different than the carrier (many charge ETF's on top of the ones imposed by the carrier, etc) Also keep in mind that if you sign up through one of these channels, you cannot return your phone to a store if you need an exchange or whatnot, it has to be done back through the channel you got it from.
