T-Mobile Strore Emps. on their HIGH HORSE

moe777

Whats the deal with these know it all smart a** store clerks that work at T-Mobile Corp stores. Everytime they get a cool phone, especailly if it is a highly aticipated one, they talk to you like they are god or something.

I went by a store today to buy a charger at a corp. store and asked about the new blackberry. The guy with an attitude said that he has been playing with it for a couple of days and how great it is but refused to show it to me like it was some kind of national secret. I am not even interested in a blackberry, but wanted to take a look since everyone is talking about it. He tells me if i wanted one, I can come back on Monday and open a new line of service to get it. Apparently, the store manager is not going to release t...

Maybe you should know what you are talking about before you post ignorance.

We are not ALLOWED to show the phone until Tuesday. I would love to show it off but I can't. It's against the terms of our contracts with T-mobile to show phones before their launch. Maybe the rep was being a douche about it but you don't need to get all worked up of something that you don't want to begin with.

People like you irritate me. You insult reps like they aren't worth anything because they work retail. I bet you go to Wal-Mart and treat all those people like garbage too. Karma buddy... Karma

see what i mean....$10/hour cashier is now an expert on karma.... In my post, i stated a certain problem with the cashier, and all you can come back is Karma....Nothing against retail emps. we all need them. but smart a** like you i have a problem with. By the way, i was very nice to the cleark that had an attitute with me. He most likely felt like crap, for being such a jerk after i thanked him for riging up my charger and taking my $20 bill that he had to look into the light 2 times and then use a pen so see if i was giving him a fake bill. If you don't like dealing with the public, night security might be just up your alley... If you just did your job and stop acting all high and mighty, maybe you will enjoy your job a little better...by...

WOW! When did i act high and mighty? I don't believe i did. I told you the reason why he coudn't show you the phone. And when did i say I didn't enjoy my job? I didn't. I enjoy my job and I like helping people that actually deserve it. I also never said i didn't want to deal with the public....And by the way I have a college degree and am working towards my masters....so thanks I did listen to my mom. You seem to be the one who is acting high and mighty. Don't talk like you are better then people because you didn't like his attitude or because you THINK i don't have an education.

Here is the solution. Don't get yourself so worked up over nothing. It's a phone...not that big. And you're on a forum if you don't like what's said then maybe ...

You appear to be the only person on here that is on their perverbial high horse.

What is your job that is so much better than a sales rep?

Man I love ripping off ignorant custy's like you. You better hope you don't come into my store with that attitude, you will be sorry.

You guys are Hilarious! This is funnier than when Tom Cruise jumped on a couch while on the Oprah show!

I will say that I do understand customers frustration with Reps who think they know more than they do. However, I will also say from a Management standpoint, and years of retail experience, that I do understand while Reps get frustrated with Customers who assume their job is so much more important than there's. Who are you to assume how much someone else makes? What do you do that is so special? Look in the mirror at your attitude my friend.

Oh, and just so you know, reps don't mearly make 10$ an hour. I have a few "hourly reps" that make anywhere from 2- 3 times that an hour when commission is all factored into the equation.

First, the word is anticipate, so you're a moron. Second, we do have company rules and regulations. This is the corporate world. However you fail to realize that our 10.00 an hour jobs are subsidized with commission by jerks like you coming in to our stores to buy your precious 20.00 chargers and your new blackberry's.

PS...Sorry we get to see the phone before you.

And dude are you kidding me ten dollars an hour ha. You obviously have no idea what your talking about. We make way more then ten dollars an hour, probably more then anyone pathetic enough to be cruising the phonescoop forums when they are not a rep. As far as the blackberry we are not aloud to show you the phone before the 12th. We can if we really want to but why would I risk my job to help out an a$$ like you. You must be crazy if you think you actually matter to your sales person. 😎

"You must be crazy if you think you actually matter to your sales person."

That quote was exactly what MOE777 was talking about. By the way-there are alot of people who cruise these forums who do not work for T-Mo. You should ask yourself why you visit this site. Apparently you feel reps should only be here. Go to your T-Mo intranet site and post there so you all can discuss how shi**y your jobs really are. This is a consumer site, and I applaud Moe777 for his insight and truefulness. Sorry it hurts you guys so much that a customer felt dissed. He wanted GOOD service. The salesman was rude. Bottom line. 🙄

You gotta take a step back away from the childish and really unimaginative insults and look at the big picture.

1. The Blackberry was supposed to be confidential. The rep wasn't even supposed to be talking about let alone telling you that you can't see it.

2. The rep might have had an attitude about the whole thing. You're really going to let that get up your craw? Must not have bigger fish to fry.

3. You moe might be a little over sensitive when dealing with people, i don't know just a theory.

4. Even though cell phone reps are not a race it's very stereotypical to say we are all snobs, uneducated, and what other insults you were throwing at us. Some of us are going to college cause their company is helping pay for it.

So if ...

I have only read the frst post in this thread...

Funny thing is you just paid that guy 2 bucks buying a charger from him. He isn't just a 'cashier' as you like to call us. He is a Retail Sales Representative, some of us make 50K+ a year. I admit that isn't the most amazing wage, however to put someone through college at the age of 20 it's quite a salary.

What I don't understand is your bad attitude. It sounds like he was excited about a phone, no he wasn't allowed to show it to you, and no it is not his fault that his manager decided only new customers can get the phone.

You keep insisting we make $10 an hour and that we're just cashiers. You obviously have no concept of what you're talking about. None of us make just $10 an hour like previous person said. Most of us are making close to $50,000 a year. I added the comma and zeroes just to spell it out for you. You really need to do a couple of things and I'll put them in a list to make them easy for you to understand because I see others have tried to tell you and you're still talking nonsense.

1. Lighten up, chill out, relax. This isn't that big of a deal. I don't know if you're having insecurity issues or what but acting this way makes you look like the jerk. You don't see anyone making fun of the other guy, just you.

2. Grow up. Mature a l...

🙂 How does it feel that a Payment machine in your store can do 95% of your job and does it way better that you guys..lol....

How long before T-Mobile puts another machine next to it which will be programed to have an attitute problem and can make wise cracks..thats the other 5%.

I hear WalMart is always looking. Good luck finding another company who would hire your jerks (yes jerks...not all of you but if you are one..you know who i am talking about) 🙂 🙂

Cashiers are what you find in your neighborhood supermarket or drugstore. Thats quite a contrast to what I see tmobile employees doing, oh, yes, tmobile employees are also quite articulate and knowledgeable in explaining the features of the handsets and phone plans they're selling. So study my definition and see if that qualifies as a cashier 😁

"So if you want to debate, answer in a human manner or keep your crap opions to yourself." - Moe777 on a different thread.

I'm sorry that you obviously had a bad sales rep. (By the way, if he works for a corporate store, he just made $2 on selling you that ca charger!) It sounds he is unaware of TMo policy so I'm going to assume that he doesn't read this fourm. You are yelling and putting down the wrong people. The people here love their jobs and stay on top of the pulse of the company and consumer feelings. These are the people that you have asked for help in previous postings. What right do you have to come and attack them? Many of the sales reps that I know are students of Universities and T-Mo is a fantastic way to pay for bill...

I am so glad I could provide some entertainment. You know, A couple of reps actually got the point behind my original post. They actually made real good points. Everybody else just took the BAIT. If it made only one new rep understand that problems will come up every day, but how you deal with the problem is the real skill. Some customers will come in to just to push your buttons and see how far they can push you (I am talking about any job where you have to deal with the public.) If you blow your top.. They win. I is a learned art to keep your COOL.

PS I hope you were reading this on your break and not when you were supposed to be working... lol 🤣

i got your point when you firest made it. but to think we are some like morons that just ring up stuff is fu^cked up. there are bad reps out there who take pride in have or holding a phone a week or 2 before they come out and those are the newbies who have there stick up there @$$ and get broken in the hard way. trust me i deal with it when i go to a vzw store with a friend to start service i see it and the same with a t-mobile store. there is a way of getting your point across to a rep with out comin off as a jerk, i do it all the time. ......oh yea i was workin when i did reply to half the post what can i say i get paid to sit on my @ss and not do a damn thing
