Question?

This is a question for all T-Mobile reps and those with experience: I have verizon right now, but soon I will be going to Hungary and all around Europe so I know I need a GSM phone. What is my best bet?

Also, I was thinking of getting t-moble for the SK3 or the MDA primarily for internet and insant messaging. Will i still be able to use the internet and messaging services in Europe if I get the service in the US.

Thank you for your time,
Rayna

yeah you can use it there if you have international permissions put on your acct. Keep in mind it is not free to use either while overseas. Since I haven't worked there in awhile I don't remember the rates and in any case it may have changed since Nov so I would call to find out how much it would cost you to use it there. Make sure when you activate you have international permissions added. Once you are activated you have to be in service for 90 days and paid 2 bills and have a specific credit class to get it added.

If you're going to stay with Verizon and not go with a GSM provider like cingular or T-Mobile you'll want to get prepaid service. If you're going to be going "all around Europe" you're not going to find anything that will be really cheap...

IL as in Israel or IL as in Illinois? I have no problem receiving and sending text to and from Israel through T-Mobile. If that's not what you meant you need to explain.

I've never heard of such a problem. You need to contact your mobile provider.

call cust care and ask them to reset your text feature. Make sure you explain to the rep that means exclude the smt/smo feature from the feature screen and then reinclude it. Have your phone with you but NOT ON IT. Once they have excl/incl your features power cycle your phone(which means pwr it off for 30 sec and then pwr it back on) then retry receiving/sending text to non IL residents.
