Hey Starr... or anybody else in the know
JDigital said:I spoke to a rep recently about this phone (I heard about it first here from you...) and he looked at me like I was on crack.
Anybody heard anything new about the Samsung C225, the color screen replacement for the R225? We're launching some great new handsets, but they are all in the mid to high tier, except the Nokia 6010. I think this phone will do really well, and it seems like its pretty much a straight bolt on upgrade from the R225, so I wouldn't think it would take very long to get approved and launched.
JDigital said:Actually, the guy that told me Tmobile wasn't getting the v600 was a coporate monkey down on a sightseeing trip. I've heard so much crap about this phone that my head is spinning. Perhaps I'll just let you handle the phone release queries, as I've been promoted and no longer deal with the Wireless Department directly (but I've got my eye on the bastards).
It sounds like you really get the bottom of the barrel for reps... first one tells you that the V600 has been cancelled, and then this guy has no idea what's going on with the new Samsung. Sounds like HE is the one who needs to lay off of the crack pipe. You betta regulate dat shiznit bro'.
But its official sweetie. The V600 will be available for launch on Monday. I read the official email with my own eyes (no I wasn't dreaming) today LOL

Congrats on the promotion muchdrama!

JDigital: It might get slipped in like that Siemens phone. I haven't heard anything yet but I can call our Samsung guy about it. He's pretty on point with his info.
The Siemens and Nokia 6800 is now available for employees (I'm not getting either one, I have a Treo 600)

Word up baby girl! T-Mobile seems to have a tighter lid about upcoming handsets than some carriers, with a few exceptions of course, but I think in the case of the V600 and the D415 they wanted the info out there to build anticipation. The Treo 600 is cool, but I couldn't handle holding that thing up to talk! Not exactly a dainty ladies' phone... 🙂
Aww how sweet. I love my Treo. It's been a big help in organizing my life.
By the way: we got our dummy phones, Siemens CF62T and the 6800...
The Siemens phone looked nice on our website but good lord.. maybe its because its a dummy phone and not a live demo (we get those on Monday)... but that phone is a hunk of crap. It felt cheap and plasticky. It has the makings of a V66 disaster (the antenna loop on the Siemens breaking off fairly easily).
Maybe this isn't a fair observation because its based on the dummy phone. But my manager says it might just be the dummy.
I'll give a full review monday.
