Radiology

Question: if this is the same phone that is available unlocked for about the same price, what would be the benefit(s) of purchasing it with a contract via T-mobile?

Thanks!

Most people do not know you can buy unlocked phones and use them on your t-mobile account.

They're identical except one will have the t-mobile logo and t-zone/mms settings already loaded.

If you buy it through a third-party new it will also have a one year warranty and you can insure it with your renter's or homeownever's insurance for a whole lot less than what the companies like
Asurion charge (like $5 per year with no deductable.)

Acctually the 8801 has a two year warranty and assurion doesnt affect your claim toward something actually important like your house burning down and you having used up your claims on a cell phone.

The number one reason to buy from T-mobile is that you can easily return it when you realize you paid $550 for a one year old phone that sells from FREE to $500US dollars (depending on plan) at T-Mobile UK.
