Switching Back

Ok so I have had cingular for over a year and no complaints about service. However, living on my own i use more than 450 minutes. Cingular's next plan up is 59.99 for 900 minutes plus i pay 4.99 for 200 text msgs.

Only plus is i get 18% off my bill every month cause of where i work. (i get the same at verizon and sprint)

Now T-Mobile has some nice plans....

39.99 for 600 minutes and unlimited n&w
39.99 for 1000 anytime and no nights and weekends

49.99 for 1000 and unlimited nights and weekends

My question is can i come back on a 1 year contract? I have the Nokia 6102 on cingular and love it. Also does tmobile give corporate discounts like cingular and others do and if so how would i find out?

Either go to a T-Mobile Direct Store, or call 1-800-T-Mobile.

it just seems like getting the 1000 anytime 39.99 plan is much better than my 39.99 450 plan at cingular even though it has no free nights and weekends. All together ive used maybe 750 total, so im 250 shy of the 1000. I might even do the 600 anytime plan again. I dont want to pay 20.00 more a month for 900 minutes plus 4.99 for 200 text msgs at cingular when i can pay just 10.00 more a month for 1000 minutes.

i wonder if tmobile will match the offer i get from cingular with my discount?

Any idea if they have any new promotional plans coming out? My cousin has the 1000 plus unlimited nights and weekends for 44.99 i think from last year.

I don't work for T-Mobile. I wish they did come out with some more interesting rate plans. I even want them to re-launch the $39.99 1000 minutes with Unlimited Nights and Weekends that they had back in 2004. I have the $45.99 1000 minute plan with Unlimited Nights and Weekends.

1000 minutes + unl n&w for 45.99 is actually a really good price. Considering most carriers offer $40 for 1000 free inc calls and free M2M and you get to adds N&W for 5.95. which is from 7pm-7am

You're only talking about $10-$20 a month. I have the 1500 anytime plus unlimeted N&W for $49.99. I have been a customer since 2000 when it was VoiceStream. Just sign up on a plan you can afford and read these boards regularly and go to T-Mobile.com regularly and eventually they'll offer a promo you'll want to switch to. An extension is required to switch plans. 🤣

i have a few months left of rollover minutes on cingular to cover my overages, so i can wait a few months and see if a promo happens to come along. I only want to sign a 1 year agreement so i should probably wait till i see one i want.

An extension is only required if you are going onto a promo right? changing plans to normal rate plans doesnt require an extension?

Actually you can get 1000 Anytime minutes and Unlimited Night and Weekend minutes for $39.99 if you're out of contract and you call say your going to cancel your service with Tmobile. That's what I have and that's how I got it.

well you get more minutes for the price at t-mobile. I am going to use up all my rollover at cingular before i switch (since i wont be getting any new rollover cause i have none to rollover anymore).

I was just wondering if T-Mobile gave discounts like cingular and the rest of them and also if they had any new plans coming out like the one my cousin has.

Corporate discounts are worked out between your company and the company you get a discount from. The best person to contact regarding the companies you get discounts from is actually your HR dept. They can usually either get you a list, or point you to someplace on their intranet to get a list. Most people are unaware of the kinds...

I didn't see if anyone actually answered your question about the corporate discount. yes, Tmobile does provide discounts to employees of some companies but not all. It is best to call customer care (1-800-937-8997)and ask if there is an agreement with your employer. You will then be directed to a website to file your request to be added to your employers discount node. I can't remember the website off hand right now otherwise I'd tell you wante it is. Hope this helps.

The website is www.t-mobile.com/corpdiscount
You go to the website to fill out the form. Customer Care can tell you if your company gets a discount or not.
