Hello all, I need some help and with the quickness, please (I'm running out of trial time with my current carrier). Grab a cup of coffee, this is a long message. 😉

I live in the northern Indiana area (South Bend Metro area). In the past 1 1/2 months, I' a former Centennial Wireless customer (great coverage here, terrible cust. service & services). I've tried Cingular, Sprint, Verizon, T-mobile & I'm currently with U.S. Cellular, but would like to switch back to T-mo. I didn't stick it out w/ them because of the AIM issue and absolutely HORRIBLE in-store customer service, of which I'm still fighting to get my refund on the phone I purchased (if anyone can apply pressure to a non-corporate store to expedite this, please let me know)....

Well you need to wait for the Samsung t509 you will love the phone I been using it, its loud and great, insure it and stay away from internet companies, call the T-mobile care and you can get in that way, wire fly is good for the price but if change your plan add or change services you will loose your deposit. Thanks

I think the SAMSUNG 809 is garbage.

We are backed with the greatest customer care in the world.

Well sir, In my honest opinion. I would think that should go the Sony Ericcson W810i. (https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php? p=893). Its the phone that I plan on buying, unlocked of course, and using with T-mobile. Unfortunately, I work for Cingular but, In my opinion this is the best phone for you. I hope everything works out for you and best of luck.

I've been trying out the Samsung 509 and it seems pretty good. As for where you should go. I work in the Indy market and our corporate store in South bend is in UP Mall. I know that their cust service is excellent. They are one of our best stores! They will provide you with a personal coverage check to make sure you will have adequate coverage.

I know you said you're not interested in a mega pixel camera but I think the MDA is the way to go. I agree with everyone else saying that it's ok to go to a corporate tmobile store, they have great service or calling online. No one recommends wirefly for a very good reason. I have had no problems with the MDA whatsoever. It does have AIM with T9 predictive text as well as ICQ, MSN and Yahoo IM's as well as regular text. You can also send and receive email from an Outlook email address as well as a hotmail email address. It also Edge and uses Windows Media Player to play videos and mp3's. You can also set mp3's as your ringtone. For internet, it also has Edge data as well as GPRS. I don't know what the data rate plans are as far as p...

You're probably not using the Motorolas right. They do not actually have T9, they use their own version called itap, and itap does work with AIM.

we still have the 1500 mins w/ unlimited nights and weekends for $59.99 available, as long as you aren't smart access. the $39.99 plan with only 1500 mins (no nts or wknds) is the one that expired.

i think everyone else has you covered as far as phones go, though i do agree that samsung or nokia is the way to go 🙂

You obviously don't want to go with the Samsung T509 since it does not have bluetooth or an mp3 player.
Other than the MDA, I'd say you'd be waiting for the Nokia 8801 to come out.
Also, I agree with most everyone else when they said stay away from internet sites like wirefly. Most are based in California, where they do not have to inform you at the time of sale that the phone is refurbished. That is the most likely reason that the phones are so cheap.

Yeah I found that out. The streamline specs were incorrect and our live demo was still in storage. I noticed when I was playing with it the other day.
