Switching from Prepaid to Postpaid
Hello everyone, I am currently a Tmobile to go customer, but am looking into switching to Postpaid. Is there a way to check my credit online without having to call/go to a store? I wasn't sure if I enter my credit card SSN info on the credit screen, if it'll charge me first or just let me know if I was approved.
Also, am I available to receive a free phone like the nokia 6101, like I would be able to if I was starting a new account?

Oh really? I had contacted TMobile before and they told me free/low price offers that are available to new vustomers weren't available to me because I was already technically a customer. They're trying to trick me!

this isnt true. what you need to do is trick the system...
if you just convert your prepaid account to postpaid, it IS as if you were already a customer, and so you arent eligible for new activation pricing. if you just activate a new account though, you can get the new phone for cheap/free, and then just move your prepaid number onto your postpaid account (we call it a MSISDN maintenence). this will be the only way to get the new activation pricing on the phone.

Ah, I see, well thank you! So I can just activate a new account online, and then probably write or call and ask if they can change my new postpaid # to my prepaid #?
P.S. I love your username, manatees are love. 😁

yep! i would recommend calling into customer care vs writing in just simply because its faster.
and thank you, i love manatees too 🙂

You're welcome! I hope one day to see one in person. 😁

I took your advice, and purchased a new postpaid account. I contacted tmobile thursday night about moving my prepaid # to postpaid, and it is still not completed. Is this a usual amount of time? I was told only 24 hours.
