New Phones

When are T-Mobile's new telephones rolling out?
Tomorrow. All 9 of them. You should camp out in front of your local Tmobile store. It's gonna be hot! Say hi to Starr for me!
V600? They should save themselves the grief...I have it and it's sucks for quality.
Let me know what's coming out for TMobile.. 😲 😲 😲 😲

This month will be the V600 and hopefully the Samsung slider phone, the D415. Maybe even the color Samsung R225 replacement, which I now think will be called a R235. This fall we will see the Samsung P735, and maybe several new Motorolas, like the V180, C650, and C630. I haven't heard anything really about new Nokias. I hoped there would be a mid-tier replacement for the Nokia 6610.
P.S. I just bought a Nokia 6585 off of Ebay that I managed to get working on Verizon's network. So far so good...I'll fill you in as I use it more.

do you know what day the v600 comes out for tmobile?
THAT was yesterday, BTW!
But obviously people put out stuff in this forum that they are not so sure about. I have been by two T-Mo dealers today, and, alas... no new phones yet!
Its more of a shame since they have so few world phones (tri-band) phones here in the U.S. and the scuttlebut says that they might even disable the 850 Mhz on the MOTO V-600 Quad-band phone (i.e. to keep you from taking YOUR phone to Cingular/AT&T when your contract is up or if you elect to pay the ETF)! This would be a HUGE mistake on T-Mo USA's part!
If you check out the home company's site ( T-Mo Deutsc...

It's called the Samsung D410 but T-Mobile's model will be called the D415.
I can't wait for our Samsung rep to bring one by in a couple of weeks.
I don't think they have anything on the P735 on the website yet since it is slated to hit T-Mobile for the holiday season.
Sorry, Quad-band radio (use your GSM phone anywhere in the world that has GSM and with ANY GSM carrier in the U.S.) is the way to go for me!
Miguelito said:Who says you can't use the 415 anywhere but in the US? We don't use 900mhz here.
The D415 is only dual band (900/1900). Can't use it anywhere but in the U.S.

You're right - I don't know what I was thinking - BUT the Samsung site still showed this as dual band. Some GSM providers in Europe use only 1800.
So I still think its OLD TECHNOLOGY - and that T-Mobile loves to offer phones that you cannot take to their U.S. Competitors - Cingular and AT&T Wireless after your contract's up or if you're willing to pay the ETF.
I'm still wondering if the scuttlebut is true that I saw on the discussion groups that when the Moto V600 comes out with T-Mobile they're going to cripple it to three bands and exclude the 850 Mhz band.
That would be a BIG mistake because momentum is starting to build about not being able to take your phone to another carrier, when it should work.
The SIM Lock ...

confirms that this is indeed a tri band phone. As for a 900/1900 band phone only being useful in the US, all I gotta say is there are a bunch of confused Europeans and Caribbean residents (among others!) out there who've been using 900 band phones on their 900 band carriers totally unaware of the fact that the network doesn't exist and their phones don't work! 😁
