Why does everyone think that they know what's going on with this phone? The sidekick is still available, and people can still order it. Just chill out and wait till you see it on here or the FCC site. Everyone just wants it to quick.

I didn't say i think i know what's going on with this phone, i was simply stating information that was provided for me via fax from my company regarding that phone. Maybe they get the phones from a different place than you i don't know... all i know is that's what the fax said. That it was no longer to order and that tmobile was telling them their should be a replacement sometime in june.

I'm with danielson on this one. The phone is no longer available to order directly through T-mobile. A consumer may be able to activate new service online but the retail stores are running out. The only way to order the Sidekick 2 for distribution is through QDI or some other large 3rd party distributor. Companies like QDI charge more then buying directly from T-mobile. However, I don't believe this phone will ship on time. We probably won't be able to order the Sidekick 3 until its been through the direct channels a few weeks to a month. I personally wouldn't wait for the Sidekick 3. I would pick up the HTC MDA.

The sidekick 2 is still available in all retail stores. The only SK that is not are the limited edition versions. You can still order them online as a new activation and upgrade. There is no word on when a new SK will be out.

i'm not saying it's not available in retail stores or anything like that.. i'm saying it's not available for us (indirect agent) to order from our supplier. We have sold out of all our sidekicks ( new and used, according to our gm) and that we won't be able to order them anymore.

is your agent replacing it with another phone in general or another sidekick? i know the retailer i work for says stuff like that and they end up replacing the phone sold with another phone in general not the update.

The way it has come across at retail stores is that indirects will not be able to offer the SK2. Which is probably why you can not order them. T-mobile is actually trying to drive customers into retail stores and away from indirects.
