What about 1 year upgrades? And also what about any data plans for the MDA? I don't want to pay $29.99 since I don't use Wi-Fi. I rather have the old $19.99 data plan.

one year contract price is usualy the same as new activation price , that is if you qualify for full discount ( 11 or more months on plan of 39.99 or greater without any past due suspends ) if you dont qualify for full discount the one year upgrade price is usualy about $20 - $50 more than new activation price.
and the 29.99 data feature is the only internet plan t-mobile offers now. but they do still offer a 19.99 hot-spot only feature.
