Troll much? It's very, very simple. You get a discount after twelve months of active service on a qualifying rate plan, defined as an individual plan of 39.99 a month or more, or a family plan of 69.99 a month or more. At that time, you become eligible for same as new pricing on handsets. This means that you pay the same price a new customer pays, without the activation fee a new customer pays, which actually shows MORE appreciation for existing customers, really. You also have access to the same mail in rebates as a new customer, and the process is exactly the same for a new customer as an existing one. The rebates are subject to change without notice, so you take the same risk as a new customer, in that the price might drop after yo...

Does t-mobile offer any rebates on plans that are 29.99? I am almost 24 months on a 29.99 plan and wondering if there is a rebate waiting for me when I hit the 24 month mark.

I was in the same boat as you. Called customer service and they said no dice and that I wouldn't qualify for anything with a $29.99 plan no matter how long I'd had it.

After getting advice from this forum, I called T-Mobile again, and asked to speak to a "customer retention specialist because I'm considering switching my service." The person who then came on offered me the phone I wanted for about 10% less than even the price new customers were paying for that phone after rebate. Best of all, I didn't have to deal wi...

Did you have to purchase the phone from them or can use another web site like amazon.com to get a better price? At their prices on the web I am probably better off just purchasing the phone on ebay.

Did your plan change after doing this? Currently I have 25 loyalty minutes per month and 500 free text messegaes under my old contract. Did this change once you got the new phone?

🙂 Your plan does not change. The 500 text messages you have stay forever, unless you remove them.
As for the loyalty minutes go, I do not know if you were educated on the way they work; They usually expire 6 months from the date they were given to you. No matter if you upgrade or not. 😉

Actually I don't think loyalty minutes expire. I get 25 each month. If I don't use them THEN they expire each month. But man 29.99 for 325 national minutes plus 500 text messages, theres no way I am switching companies.

No loyalty minutes will never expire, they base off of your tenure and price plan. Some customer will get 15 minutes extra a month while others get 60. But it does not roll over to the next month

🙂 Hey friend. Please do not misinform our customers. Loyalty min DO expire 6 full months from the date they are applied to the account. Please check your database. You know what I'm talking about. 😉

In my case, I got the phone through tmobile. I didn't even try going through one of the 3rd party companies because I didn't even know where to begin untangling the mess that would most likely have created. Perhaps I was unnecessarily over-cautious.

I just had to re-sign for another year. Nothing else changed incl...

seriously...its always about something thinking new customers get better pricing yeah and they also have to pay a $35 act fee at least we are giving you rebates now when you meet the qualifications that little 19.99 isn't going to get you a 6600 for 299.99 after rebate...geez...
