Thanks in advance everyone!

It all depends on if you were activated as a smart access customer.. if ya were.. then 1 additional line would be approved..not a third.. youd have to wait at least six more months with good pmt history to be cleared for another... anyhoo.. if you were activated as a regular customer then it all in the air.. as far as a mobile number change.. thatta wont be a problem.. itll cost ya 15 bucks now though!.. 😛

easy way would be.. have u ever been suspended for exceeding your "spending limit balance"?? thats a key sign of a smart access account. also the mobile number change unfortunately was placed bc lots and lots of customers were changing theyre mobile numbers. customers started to figure out that changing it reset theyre minutes (which means in the middle of theyre cycle of they were approaching theyre minutes -- sure enough- theyd be calling in to change those numbers!!) tmobile decided this would be a good detterant for that issue.. if you speak with a nice enough rep if you have never changed your number prvsly they will waive the fee for ya! hope this helps! 😛

No i have always payed my bill in full on line the day it apears witch is ussaly ahead of schedule by like 10 days before it is even due so never had service suspendded never had a payment late. Thats why i was woundering why i can't just go to three lines. I had cingular check and i have no problem switching to them for a famly talk with 5 lines and no deposit. I just would hate to have to give up my t-mo service ☚ī¸

Any idea if I convert to a famly talk plan now if that means if I do not upgrade my current phone (SK2) I will not be eligable to receave upgrade prices for another 11 months?

upgrading will not make you lose your upgrade"ability" so to speak.. the only time your ability to upgrade is affected is if you change your mobile number OR you , for example have three lines and two want to be on a ft plan and the other does not.. in which case you need a seperate BAN for the third line (ban=acct number) but these cases are rare and ALL tmobile reps should see the changes and adjust accordingly! also to be eligible for maximum discount you must be on a FT of of 69.99 or higher or individual plan of 39.99 or higher..! any more questions!?! oh and i would WAIT for the SK# anyways.. haha but thats just IMO.. 😎

Thats exactly what i want to make sure I can do is wait and then up grade the sk2 to the sk3 if/when it ever comes out. that release of the limetted edition sk2 was realy like a slap in the face (hey buy me I am the exact same phone and I will only cost you an additional $150) and I plan on switching to the 2000 fmly talk plany ways and when you factor in the sidekick data plan, insurance on all 3 lines an unlimtted text messaging package on 1 line and caller tunes on all 3 line you would think that t mo will be bending over backwards to get me to sign up. can't figure that out why it is such a hassle.

Go to a Corporate store, since they are T-Mobile Direct Dealers. I trust them more than those authorized dealers who sometimes can't be trusted.

like terryjohnson said.. I personally will never bad mouth an indirect dlr.. there will always be pros and cons to choosing an indirect or direct dlr.. Personally I would go with a direct dlr as well.. indirect dlrs tend to have other contractual obligations on theyre contracts (i.e you cancel service and you pay them an ETF fee or something of equal proportions) again.. not all indirect dlrs do that.. but if you want a good deal on a phone.. an indirect is a good way to go too. 🙂

really all depends on what your looking for. If you are looking to upgrade depends on how long its been since you upgraded last andwhat PP you are on.. right now.. with max discount the razr would be 149.99 with 100.00 mail in rebate.. which isnt so bad.. t809 would be 249.99 and 319.00 with one year.. v360 would be 149.99 and 199.00 with 2 or 1 yr contract. again this is all with the max discount.. so.. if your not there.. expect prices to behigher!! 😁 any more questions?

I have the get more 1000 plan with nights and weekends so 49.99 plus sidekick data at $20.00 caller tunes and equipment insurance. would that put me at the max discount level? I would be switching thought to the 1000 shared min with 3 phones 1 sidekick data plane 1 unlimted text message package caller tunes and insurance on all 3 phones. so thats like 4120 a month.

If you were originally approved for 2 lines you are definitely not Smart Access. The deposit for your 3rd line would be $250 unless you have the credit department look at your payment history. They would be the ones to decide if you can have that 3rd line or not.

Yes your contract will start over if you switch to a family plan. You will want to upgrade your phone at the same time you activate your family plan. The SideKick 3 is not out yet so you do not have the option to upgrade to that.

You will definitely want to go to a corporate store, even an exclusive store. I work in an exclusive store for TMobile and we are just as knowledgeable. Don't go to a third party retailer, most cannot do upgrades.

MAKE SURE YOU UPGRADE YOUR...
