I am just so fed up with T-Mobile...
Why T-Mobile, why?! why do you give me the best customer service and are always so helpful when I come in to see you?! Why can't you be more like those Cingular reps and treat me like the customer trash that I am? Why do you T-Mobile reps love your jobs, and why do you offer me the best signal in my area as well as the most minutes?! I am so tired of having better signal than everyone else because I have T-Mobile and they don't! T-Mobile, I am so fed up with the outstanding wireless service I am getting from you. I am going with Cingular where, not only will I be spat on, but I will also have mysterious charges on my bill and I will never have call clarity. Huff!

It's amazing how a guy who obviously started the rumor keeps making up more rumors to stir people up. Until you have some actual facts that you can post, maybe we should try another topic, like new phones or new plans. There really isn't too much point to this thread anymore than one persons trying stir things up with absolutely nothing to prove it. All of those rumors were from months ago, before DT said they wouldn't be selling.

I keep hearing the FCC would never allow it. But I don't think that is true. There are enough regional cell phone carriers and two other major national carriers. Besides that, it would be the Congress that would review this as a monopoly or not. Or maybe that is the Federal Trade Commission. Either way, the anti-trust laws wouldn't stop Cingular from buying T-Mobile or vice versa. If all four tried to merger into one (i.e. Sprint, Verizon, Cingular, and T-Mobile) then I could see senate hearings based on the anti-trust laws. Of course all this is really moot since, DT did say they were not planning on selling their American business just yet and actually suggested they planned on updating the network. Funny story: I was at the mall with my friend. His girl pulled him into a store, and mine pulled me into another one. We lost them for a little while, so i shot him a text. Finally, we all met up, and I said "Yo, how come you didnt reply to my text?"
So he whips out his Sidekick and says: "Come on man, I have TMobile" and showed me zero bars! Yet I was tapped out with coverage.
Needless to say, he is now a happy Cingular customer.

Yeah Yeah and when I had my MPX200 with ATT/Cing it had crappy coverage at work and at school, the only good place it had good coverage at was home.
Now I have Tmobile on my unlocked Audiovox 5600 and have great coverage at School, work evrywhere in between and 0-1 bars at home.
No provider works everywhere.

thank you! And I was in a cingular store and saw their coverage map. Yes it is better than T-mobile, but it does not come close to Verizon. Plus Cingular's coverage is very splotchy. I rely on my land line for perfect signal. Cell phones are never as reliable.

Funny. Now here's MY funny story. My husband's Cingular cell didn't work in my home, while my T-Mobile ALWAYS had perfect signal. After he and his boss kept losing GPRS on their Cingular Blackberries, they switched to Verizo...
