UMA Information
It seems doubtful as the phones we know to be launching are not UMA and the manufacturers that have announced UMA are not normally TMo phones (ie LG). It'd be a boon for sales and coverage for this to happen. I'd love to see first to market on this.
For those not familiar, UMA is described fairly well in the glossary. Its an exciting technology allowing seamless use of WiFi for services on your cell phone. Think of it as having your very own "mini tower" in your home. Cool, huh? 😎
Would UMA be available to any phone with WiFi capability and an unlimited data plan, or would it need special firmware/software to use UMA?
If that is the case (and I figure out how to use my Hotmail account with the MDA), consider me a long-time T-Mobile customer...
If that is still the case...I do not know.
HOPE SO THOUGH!

What you heard from employees is what we were told in the 2005 kickoff from the Exec. VP for cust service. In the video she advised us that UMA service would be available by the 4th quarter of this year.

Any new word on when we should see this? I have been fending off moving carriers, b/c I get very poor reception at my house.

That is pretty exciting, any one have thoughts on if this will be an extra charge?
MDA is looking pretty good if I can get the pennies together.

I don't understand, this is about Comcast users getting a deal on Hot-Spot service. Did I miss something?
