T-Mobile getting the HTC Tornado in October

Holy crap, this phone looks dam nice, but we need more info!!! touch screen?...etc!!!

click on links to www.gsmarena.com and there you can find the phone listed under Qtek 8310.
I too am excited. Considering Quad-band, EDGE, Wi-Fi, 1.3 Megapixel camera, bluetooth, infrared port, MiniSD slot, windows mobile software. OK, I am tired of typing, hope T-mo does get this one. I am sick and tired that Cingular has Nokia 6682, 6230 and T-mo has nothing like that.

I was under the impression that most Windows Mobile Smart Phones were not touch screen, only the PDAs. Plus, while touch screen would be nice, one would have to wonder about it's utility. These smart phones are quite "restricted" as compared to most windows mobile PDAs (less ram, less expansion, etc), so there may not be as many applications needing features like touchscreen ability.

Anyhoo, what I'm really hoping for is that the HTC Tornado fully supports unlicensed mobile access (UMA). This would allow for seemly transition between WiFi networks and GSM networks. FINALLY I might get reception in my ...

There has not been anything to the contrary about using phone service over a wifi network. Its still to my knowledge expected to launch towards end of 05 or beginning of 06.

Wow! That's one big phone. Get out your white suite and skinny neck tie.

Really... I like the features (other than the fact that it runs windows) but does t-mobile really need a huge non-qwerty phone?
