Yeah... if the FCC approved it, why would the article say it could go to T-Mobile in Europe. Wouldn't that mean it is bound for T-Mobile USA? It would be great to have something like this that has EDGE and I can use to access my Hotmail account with ease along with sending Word or Excel attachments...

Considering T-Mobile does not yet offer EDGE here it is not likely it will be offered here.

T-Mobile has already launched EDGE in several markets so . . . That phone most likely will come to T-Mobile USA.

Same logic as the Black RAZR coming to T-Mobile? Distribution drives manufacturer release. T-Mobile USA just doesn't have enough compared to T-Mobile Europe.

🙄 There have been several posts on howard forums and probably on here saying that they have EDGE speed in there area. 🙄 Why are you ALWAYS comparing T-Mobile USA to T-Mobile Europe?

I dont understand why this keeps coming up. Edge is deployed by T-Mobile in a few areas and plans are to have it deployed in all markets by EOY..see below:

May 02, 2005
T-Mobile has fallen behind on its deployment of EDGE, considered a 2.5G technology. In 2002, the company said it would have it running in all its markets by the end of 2003. Today, it is deployed in California, and the company expects to complete its rollout by the end of the year. So far, it offers two phones for the service: models from Nokia and Motorola.

Abstract from the Seattle-times.

The only reason it is deployed in CA is because Cingular deployed it there on their former join venture.

Always? This is the first topic I have EVER DISCUSSED T-Mobile Europe vs. T-Mobile USA. Either you are thinking of someone different or you really have a propensity to exaggerate.
