More and more GSM 850 phones. Why?

Lately, T-Mobile has been adding GSM 850 phones to their lineup. However, T-Mobile doesn't use GSM 850 in their network.

Why does T-Mobile need GSM 850 phones? Are they planning to add GSM 850 to their network?

Yes, this is true. T-Mobile has started 850 in Minnesota and it works good too. 😁
