There aren't any differences other than color, are there? I've heard rumors that the black one is "better", but it seems like if it was different, it would be given a different model number.

You can view the black RAZR specs on Motorola's Euro site. I have not investigated, although I heard it has video capture.

I just spoke to a T-Mobile rep and was told that the silver-colored Razr will be available for sure on July 11th, but there is no word on price. (At first, he told me Fall of 2005, but when he researched it more, he said July 11th)

He also said the Razr that T-Mobile is getting is an updated version due to issues with the version that Cingular has - it has been known to break in half due to its thinness. I was told that this new version fixes this issue. I was also told that it has video, so I assume that it will have video capture capability.

Our version of the RAZR will ABSOLUTELY NOT CAPTURE VIDEO. It will receive, playback, and forward video, however.

My bad... I have no need for video capture, so it's not a big deal to me. I might wait until the end of the year before upgrading from my Samsung e315. Hopefully there will more than one high-end phone to choose from by then! 😎

I think I will have to wait and see which version it will be. Most people on this forum say the silver, but AberFitchDuDe87 said it would be the black one. As far the difference between them, well the UK guys keep saying the black version has video capture and so did the cingular guys at the store that have the black ones.

I have it staright from a regional manager of Motorola that it will be the silver and the black is exclusive to Cingular until the end of the year.

Razr it will be. Not even some people from the several "high ranks" in T-Mobile. Many including I are hoping the black one. We just have to wait and see. The black could be eithier for T-Mobile or Cingular vice versa. Many FROM T-Mobile think the black one is for T-Mobile reasons being as follows:
1. T-Mobile is looking to expand thier phone selections for the better and getting the sliver one is not going for the better because it's and old phone. The black one is new and has a few more better feature.
2. T-Mobile U.K. has it and T-Mobile in all is ONE company.
3. When REPS first got info on the Razr there was a picture of the black verison next to the artical . . . but then again when they got word of the e335 it had a picture of the sl...

Considering all Cingular stores nationwide just got POP material showing the black RAZR as exclusively to Cingular and all silver RAZR information that says exclusive must be removed by June 30th I think I am correct.

Sorry.

There is always "UNLOCKING" but anyways I am still waiting to see which one they release because in the "wireless industry" things always change on the last minute. So I am waiting. . .

Considering Cingular spent $$ on POP AND I heard it from Motorola regional managers that it is being shipped to Cingular as we speak I think it is safe to say.

Sorry, but your wishful thinking just ran out of wishes.

What features does it have that the silver does not? Texas said earlier that he THOUGHT it incl video capture but wasn't sure. When I checked the specs, it didn't say video capture, just video download and playback.

I'd checked the feature specs on Motorola's website, so if it was on there, but Cingular disabled it (which would make no sense) it should still be on Moto's site, just not Cingular's.
