Can anyone tell me why the phones that are offered by T-Mobile are inferior to the phones offered by other service providers? Especially since the phones that they do offer seem to be overpriced.

I love their service however the phones that they offer pretty much suck, if you want a reasonably priced high tech phone you are out of luck.

Why do they not offer phones by LG or Seimens

Greetings...well there is fact/fiction on this subject, the fact is that we dont offer hardware like LG cause us, just like many of the carriers, we buy based on the deals that the providers will provide us with...so basically if a phone doesnt meet our requirments or cost to much to mass distribute, we will not purchase it. We use to offer Siemens M46...it was a piece of junk, Siemens internationally is a highly recognized phone with great structure, but the phone that they are selling the US companies..and this goes for also AT&T and Cingular just dont provide the same quality/features that Nokia, and Samsung provide.

Opinion part is that are phones are not neccessarily inferior, and if you want to use the quote "Especially since the ph...

The basic premise of your question is wrong. Being a dealer for both Verizon and T-Mobile, I think that T-Mobile offers some very good phones for a very reasonable price. Two of the highest rated phones that you will find are in fact T-Mobile phones. The Nokia 6610, which I use personally, has some of the best RF quality of any phone I have ever used, and the battery life is almost unmatched. Add to that the fact that Nokia's tend to be indestructible, the speakerphone that actually works, and the voice dial, and you have a very excellent phone. Not to mention the fact that it doesn't look cheesy or overdone. It's a phone that an adult businessperson can carry around. It doesn't have the best color display or the best polyphonic ringe...

Funny you should say that, cause I have the 722i and it does suck! That is the worst phone I have ever owned!

However after looking at the Nokia 6610 I am still not all that impressed with the looks of the phone. For my purposes a flip phone is my preference. As for the Samsung E105, sure it maybe a great phone but I am looking for something with more features. Any suggestions?

That Motorola should never have made it through handset approval at T-Mobile. If you are looking for a camera phone, the Samsung E715 is pretty sweet also, with a built in spotlight/flash, but otherwise the features aren't really that much better than the E105. T-Mobile DOES need to release some more flip phones, I'll admit. They are talking about the Sony Ericsson Z600 and Z200 right now, and I'm actually getting some of each in myself that are unlocked.

that i have to disagree with. i've had 3 nokia's and now have 2 sony ericsson's and 2 of those nokia's the lcd cracked the first time i dropped them. i've dropped my se's about a half dozen times and you can't tell they've been dropped.

speaking of se, i can't wait to get my hands on one of the z500's when it gets released latter this year.

God I hope not! I just bought the new Samsung slider. These people are trying to feed us crack in th eform of cell phones. It is a pretty sharp looking phone though. If T-Mobile does end up with it, I am sure I will have to have it!
