yea the nokia 3220 and the motorola V171 both have 800 Freq...this is weird b/c its the first time they will be carrying a phone w/ that freq. maybe they will make a model w/o that freq, lock that freq up, or allow roaming if they make sum agreements...that would be a big plus for t-mobile, anyway guess my next phone i get will have that freq, just in case we can roam.

Your wrong! The Sidekick 2 doesn't have 850MHz frequency on it. Only the Hiptop 2 has 850MHz on it. The Sidekick, Color Sidekick, and the Sidekick 2 are branded for T-Mobile USA. The Hiptop which has the 850MHz on it are for other companies that carry the Danger Hiptop. The Sidekick is a name that T-Mobile chose to use.

Hiptop 2 is the non-Tmobile branded Sidekick 2. They are the same thing, except T-Mobile pays DANGER money to put the T-Mobile logo on the device for T-Mobile.

Supposedly, according to a rather wise sage in regards to Tmobile, the company may try to put some 850mhz "pocket" roaming agreements in place with other carriers. Which makes a ton of sense, of course...Tmobile USA doesn't have infinite resources to buy spectrum, and this would allow them to expand their coverage at a minimum expense.

there are some places along the southern oregon coast i know of that t-mobile has a pocket roaming agreement with if you have a 800mhz capable phone.

p.s. 850/800 and 900 are two seperate bands. they do not use 900 in the U.S
