Is it true that Tmo has outsourced its customer service or TS to India or Mexico? If this is true its probably the reason they can afford to offer cheaper plans.
One other question; based on what I have been reading does the price of the phone depend on the PPlan you choose. If you choose a lower plan you pay more for the device.
I work for big red and Yes yes I know our plans are more expensive but 1) our phones cost the same whether or not you are on the $39.99 or Unlim plan with the exception of renewal time because of the NEWE2 credit. 2) Our minute structure hasnt changed in 3 years.

T-Mo outsourced mainly the lines that the employees have to call. To Mexico I believe. Otherwise customer care for the general public is still all in the US.
No the prices are all the same. The only difference now is if you choose to pay full cost with our lower NO contract plans (even more PLUS). Or get a subsidized cost with a more expensive contracted plan.
T-Mobile will give you a credit line to purchase phone and put it on the bill BASED on credit. Up to $1200 on even more PLUS plans (payments split over 20 months) and up to $500 on even more plans (payments split over 4 months) for the entire account.

to my knowledge there is not a call center in Mexico. There is one however in the philippines but only for Flex pay. I think there also used to be one in Canada.

I know all high tier BB escalations go to RIM in Canada.
