I've been a T-Mobile customer for five years. I've had the same phone the whole time - a Motorola V180. Now I want to get a smartphone, but only for one specific reason. I don't want a data plan. I don't even want access to the internet on my phone. If I had it I'd be checking it all day. What I need is a phone that runs Windows Mobile 5.1 or higher.

If I do this, will it still work as a phone?
- Yes

Will I be able to run this custom app?
- If it runs on WinMo, yes

Will I be able to post my scores via a WiFi connection if I don't have a data plan?
- Wifi does not require a data plan.

Sweet, it sounds like this just might work. so is that all there is to it? Just find an old phone that runs Windows Mobile and switch my SIM card? Would I have to inform T-Mobile of the switch so they could active the phone or something, or would it just work right away. Please excuse my ignorance, I really have no idea how this all works. Thanks.
