3g Blackberry, When or ETA?
I need to upgrade my 8700g, I like the 8520, however, I don't want to miss out on a 3g Blackberry. I've waited 4 years, I can wait a little while longer...anyone know of something on the horizon?
...
Tour is 3G compatible, I believe.
...
No, Tour is definetly NOT compatible. A)Its CDMA. B)It doesn't use the 1700MHz spectrum so it won't work.
Check out tmonews.com and look at the driftwood. Its probably gonna come out 1Q 2010.
...
Thanks, smylax. I was considering the Tour myself, but I wasn't sure.
...
Thanks, the driftwood looks cool and tmonews.com is great resource! 😁
...
your both foolish for listening to him, you can unlock the tour and use it on att or tmobile. its a quad band phone (gsm and cdma)
...
But what's the point if he's looking for a 3G phone?? T-Mobile's 3G is 1700MHz, the Tour doesn't have it, so hence, no 3G on T-Mobile's network....
...
so tmobile only has 3g in like 30 cities and people unlock iphones all the time and use them on tmobile with no 3g.
...
What are you talking about?? The Tour is quad band GSM and CDMA.
...
The Tour does not have T-Mobile's 3G. T-Mobile will be getting the Driftwood in Q4.
...
The 8520 is awesome!!
...
YEA I AGREE I JUST GOT MY 8520 AND I LIKE IT ALOT!!! I KINDA REGRET IT THOUGH BECAUSE I KNOW T-MOBILE WILL BE GETTING THE BLACKBERRY DRIFTWOOD SOON AND ITS PRETTY MUCH A COMBINATION OF THE BB TOUR AND THE 8520 (WELL ONLY BECAUSE IT WILL HAVE THE OPTICAL TRACKPAD) OH WELL I WOULDNT MIND PAYING RETAIL PRICE FOR IT, ITS WORTH IT.
