Roaming problems
There were several places were I would have no coverage at all and the phone would drop into it's network searching mode. When it did this, I could see it detect at least two networks that had 4~5 bars with of coverage yet it would not connect to that network and would instead, just go in to a "no network available" mode.
I have a nation-wide free roaming plan, so why am I not able to connect to those other networks. I've been in some very rural areas and roamed across several networks. When I used to be a ATT customer, I even roamed onto the T-mobile network a couple of times.
The coverage issues I'm experienc...

I've never had anything bad to say about T-Mobile as a company, but I am now running into coverage problems that are going to force me into going with someone else this winter.
I will miss the pricing and fantastic customer service.
Next time you go down there, go to Saltgrass Steak House on the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier. Its really good!

Im not trying to be a troll, but Verizon works the best in Shreveport/Bossier now that we have Alltel. Data speeds are great and its all 100% rev A. I know the price is higher then T-Mobile, and T-Mobile is a great service provider. Also, Verizon and T-Mobile are ranked top for customer service. It switched between the 2 of them every so often. I think you will like the BlackBerry Tour. It will have GSM Roaming with HSPA data when over seas (if yo go over seas).

You are not a troll, in fact FAR from it.

A troll would have 1. bashed T-Mobile (or another carrier) and 2. Boast about Verizon in a way that makes it seem like they are the one perfect carrier and everyone should switch to them.
All you did was state the facts: Verizon works best in his area. Verizon is the top carrier of choice in south central Indiana because we have stellar coverage in that market.
Steak house...now you are making me hungreeee!
LOL!
Thanks.
1 little thing, I think you mean Louisiana. lol!!! You said Indiana. Its cool tho. lol

Im cajun, and they have some of the BEST cajun food in the area!
Oh yeah...lol. I should have seperated the two topics. I meant Indiana, but I should have said, "For example, in Indiana where I am, Verizon is best in our state in terms of coverage."
Sorry for the confusion. I am a little drunk and it's Friday...lol SHABBOT SHALOM!
Dammit.. now you are both making me hungry.

This week, I was on a buisness trip to the Shreveport/Bossier City area of Louisiana and had constant coverage issues.

You could get you a BB Tour and use the GSM/GPRS/EDGE part on T-Mobile. đ
However, I am going to have to bail due to coverage issues. My wife's job now has her in rural areas and no speads most of her day with no coverage what so ever. My new job also has the potential to put in areas (like Shreveport) where their network has no coverage. I am also getting the smart phone bug and T-Mobile's closest 3-G coverage area is 5-hours away.
I'm not leaving T-...

On Verizon I did the 1400 Mins; 10 Friends and Family Numbers; Unlimited Text, Picture, Video, and IM on 2 lines; and Unlimited BlackBerry Data on 2 lines. It came to 179.99
If you want 700 mins on Verizon, it would be 159.99.
I would be going to a 700min plan and my wife is dumping her Blackberry because she no longer needs it.
I qualify for the military discount under any of the providers as an Active Reservist. I believe my civilian employer gets me even beter discounts under AT&T...I don't know about Verizon.
As for the smart phones, I'm looking for something more than a Blackberry. I would prefer something like an iPhone or G1 where I can download a wide range of apps. There are a couple available for the iPhone that were designed speci...

We pay 133.46 for 5 lines all with unlimited messaging, 1400 mins, and 10 friends and family numbers.
I didn't say my corp discount. We never put it on there. Were not really worryed about it. If I need anything, I get it for dirt cheap at work.
