Has T-Mobile charged you a reconnection or a reactivation fee? If so, T-Mobile may have charged you improperly.
I work with a law firm investigating whether T-Mobile’s policy of charging consumers a fee to resume services is a violation of California’s consumer protection laws.
If you have paid T-Mobile to reinstate or reactive your cell phone service, you may be entitled to compensation if the court agrees that the fees were improper.

It's not the company's fault if someone doesn't pay their bill!
...
THANK YOU so much from the bottom of my heart. Oh yeah, I am a T-Mobile CSR and hear this type of thing all the time.
...
Get over it. Pay your bill on time or pay fees. Every company does it, as they should. If I ran my own business and didn't get paid for the services I provided I would charge extra fees as well. Freaking ambulance chaser lawyers and their frivolous lawsuits are ridiculous and really, really piss me off.

and people wonder why insurance is so expensive and why you have to fill out so many freaking forms whenever you do anything...
...
Me too! It's so annoying. No one is bringing up frivolous lawsuits against the electric company for charging a reconnect fee when they disconnect your service. Its just crazy all the suits these days.
...
...On being troll poster number 100,000!
As the winner, you can receive a line of service from T-Mobile with no activation fees! 🤣
...
Go crawl back in your hole you scum lawyer. 👿
...
I agree with late fee's but reactivation and reconnection fee's are bs, accounts are turned of with a simply click... i doesn't cost you 20-35 bucks to do that, they are imposed to scare the customer from falling 2 far behind and a way of making money.
...
The push of the button is not the issue. All businesses depend upon their income to pay their bills and expenses, just like you and I do. When payments don't arrive as expected, companies fall behind, just like individuals. Businesses have the right to make up for this. I have no gripes with companies (not just cell phone carriers) charging fees for reconnects/late fees/etc. If you pay your bill on time its not really an issue at all. And if you know you're going to be late on a payment, many companies are willing to work with you. I help customers set up payment arrangements everyday so they can avoid any extra fees whatsoever.
...
The whole in your story is that first you say that you depend on your incoming payments, But then you say you make arrangements so they don't get extra fees.... Kind of defeats the purpose your still not getting all of the money when you need it.
...
There is no hole in my story. And its not a story. This is WHY companies in all industries charge these types of fees. Payment arrangements are made where instead of having a payment spread out to give the customer usually another 2 weeks.
And lets put things in perspective. T-Mobile charges the reconnect fee when an account is more than SIXTY DAYS PAST DUE. That means you are 2 months behind on your payments. Do you know what credit card companies do to you when you fall that far behind? Many financers will repossess your car if you're that far behind on a car payment. So sit down, shut up, and pay your bill on time and there won't be a problem.
...
You still don't get it, im not saying don't pay your bill.... i said a reconnection fee is bs, not late fees.... I have gone two months w/o paying my credit card before and i didn't get a reconnection fee or my card turned off... i got 2 late fees of 15 dollars.
...
You get late fees with T-Mobile too. You have to go several bill cycles without paying your bill before they shut your phone off.
Unless you're on FlexPay...
...
So let's just say it takes 2 months for your phone to be turned off. Once you get the service restored its usually a 36 dollar reconnect fee. You paid TWO 15 dollar late fees with your credit card, which by my calculation equals 30 dollars. The other 6 dollars we can call interest fees.
I'm pretty sure you are the one who doesn't get it.
...
No you are actually a idiot, a cell phone company charges you a late fee every time your late, but they will tack on a extra 30 plus dollars if your service gets disconnected, please learn to read.
...
I stopped reading after "a idiot."
Idiot.
...
WOW you have no life responding to a post that is that is 7 days away from being 2 months old... go outside talk to a girl.. get out of your parents basement.
...
Your just as dumb as the OP. It doesn't cost $20 to turn back on but its a penalty fee for letting your bill lapse. If you don't like paying reconnect fees pay your bill on time and if you can't then you shouldn't have a cell phone.
...
Please learn to read, you idiot i never said it cost that much, i said it doesn't cost that much, and accounts are suspended and reactivated with a click of a button. And i said late fees are fine, not reconnection fees, again please learn to read, it really helps. And please drop the T-mo cool-aide and get real some people run into problems with payments, and especially a company like t-mo should understand that, they take on all the people with poor credit.
...
he doesn't get it, does he?
hilarious
...
No you are a idiot for assuming i was talking specifically about T-mobile on my original post when i was talking about all cell phone companies. You are charged a late fee any time you are late. And in the case your account goes delinquent enough to get shut off, they charge you a reconnection fee.
...
seriously dude, nobody here is drinking the "T-mo-cool-aide" this is how all phone companies work, even landlines. for that matter, electric companies do the same thing.
even if you think it's unfair, the fact of the matter is that when signing your contract, you agreed to these charges. so if you don't like these charges, then you don't need a cell phone.

GO TO HELL NOW!!!
YOU BLOOD SUCKING SCUMBAG!!!
