I have a couple- well quite a few actually- question because im thinking of switching over for the myfavs and the family allowances features.......

1. how do i change the list of myfav numbers? can i pick 5 now and in two months change them? does this affect my contract?

2. how often do i get a new phone?

3. does mobile backup have a charge? if so, how much?

4. do i get charged for going to a store or calling customer service (leap actually does this) if so, how much

5. do you all have a 30day guarentee?

6. am i charged for switching the phone i am using or changing my number?

We'll be glad to have you!

1. You're myFaves are managed from a display directly on your phone. You can change every contact once per calendar month, so you can change all five every month, and it has no effect on your contract.
2. You get a partial discount after about 2-3 months. You only get the full discount every 22 months between upgrades.
3. Mobile backup is free!
4. Get charged for going to a store or calling customer care... ummm no. Authorized dealers usually charge a fee to pay your bill there, and there is a charge with customer care to pay your bill if you speak to a rep. If you use the automated system, there is no charge. Why would they charge you to come into a store?
5. T-Mobile has a 14 day trial period (except its ...

Verizon has 5 PTT phones. Verizon PTT network is alot better then AT&Ts. I dont see a huge diffrance in Nextel and Verizon PTT as well. Nextel is a little faster, but not much to make a diffrance. Plus the coverage of Verizon beats Nextel by a long shot.

to answer your questions- about the charge for cricket for going to the store> the only thing i could think of is because they are so cheap they have to make money somewhere, but yeah- i have my daughter on them right now becuase it was unl and no contract and everytime she has an issue with the phone when we take it to the store i get an extra 7$ per visit on my next bill! as for the number change question> i was refering to voluntarily changing a phone number. teenagers!

on the mobile back up thingy- do we have to have a data package for that. my husband goes through phones like there is no tomorrow so we use that all the time, but he doesnt use any of the other data > web browswer stuff. can we just do the pay per use data and st...

A voluntary number change is $15.

You don't need a data package for mobile backup. The way mobile backup works depends upon the phone. Most phones use the standard mobile backup, which is free. Sidekicks only do mobile backup when moving from sidekick to sidekick, and it only works with the sidekick data plan. The G1 syncs everything with GMail, and it comes with the required data package for the G1.
There are no pay per use data charges. T-Mobile avoids that beast like the plague.

Mobile back up is a very nice feature to have. Soon as you put your new sim card in it the phone will automatically ask you if this is your phone and if you want to sync. Its nice. you can always just log onto my.t-mobile.com and edit/manage your contacts via "my mobile life". In my mobile life your pictures you send to "your album" also are stored. Everything on tmobile.com is free except the downloads which if they cost they will tell you upfront. (also a good reason to have fam allowances). Careful with indirect stores, they are starting to charge for simple things like changing basic info and stuff. If you always go to a Direct store they will never charge you for account changes or questions.

The PHP Bundle (Insurance) is 5.99/month and actually offers a LIFETIME Warranty. Not 2 years. Just thought I would clarify that. 🙂

This is not correct. It is only 2 years, not lifetime. Whoever told you lifetime is grossly misinforming you.
