Phone Suggestion

I just signed on to T-mobile. I have the Sony T-M506. I would like to switch the phone out with something else, but not quite sure. I am looking for something with good call quality, great battery life, and a good phone to text on. It does not necessarily have to have 3G, but I do live in a suburb of Detroit MI, but my Sony does not show a 3G signal indicator. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated? 😎

I'd go with the Samsung Gravity (IF you can find it): Not very pricey at all, nice to look at, has a full keyboard so it's made for texting. But remember, you only have 14 days from your activation day to exchange it! ;)

What's wrong with the SE TM506? It has pretty good reviews.

As for texting, if you need a QWERTY keyboard go with one of the Blackberries TMO offers.
If not I liked the Moto RAZR2 V8, it has awesome call quality.

What's wrong with the TM506?
Its probably the best non-smartphone we've got right now. And you may need to turn the 3G on in the settings. Its probably off by default because its a big battery burner.
Yeah, the Gravity has a QWERTY keyboard, but its not nearly on the same level as the 506 in terms of quality (not that the Gravity is poor quality, but certainly no TM506).
What features are you looking for that the 506 doesn't fill? The 506 fits all those that your previously posted: "I am looking for something with good call quality, great battery life, and a good phone to text on." Unless you're looking for a full keyboard or 20 key. The Pearl and Pearl flip just dropped to 79.99 after MIR, not a bad deal...

There are alot of great phones out there. Yesterday at customer service the bb flip was 49.99 after a 100 mail in rebate. I had to screen shot it and send it out to my team lol. The sony you got is truely a great phone. I would suggest looking on t-mobile.com and us he compare feature for what you want. You could head down to the store and hopefully you'll find someone like Smylax that knows everything heh.

Well I am having problems hearing the ring tone for one. The ringer is all the way up and I have it on the increasing ring also and I still miss calls. Also I cannot hear people on the other end when the ear piece volume is all the way up! I think that I might go with the behold or the rokr.

You may have gotten a defective one. The Sony is louder than the rokr. Behold is a whole 'nother level, its nice.
If you like the ROKR, the ZN5 is better... in nearly every way.

I will probably get the behold because I have used the z9 on at&t a while back and they are the same buttons at the ZN5 which are very hard to use for people with big fingers.

I'd troubleshoot your sony first of all.. That phone is supposed to be loud. So get an exchange. I like the Behold alot too though. If you can justify the money. Hook it up. Unless you wanna wait for the memoir. That's gonna be hot.
