Other than their purchase of Suncom, I doubt T-Mobile would buy any part of Alltel, as most of Alltel is rural, and T-Mobile only likes to focus on major cities & the interstates that run through some rural areas.

Then again, they might because I'm sure buying those towers that are already built is cheaper than building their own although I am inclined to agree with you. 🙂

I agree with what Dave said, But T-Mobile needs to jump on this. They need to start getting more coverage to pick up more customers that are out in the rural area. It seems like most of the people that have alltel are in the rural area and buying some of these towers can get them more people.

T-mobile really does need to get out of the big citys and major highways!!!

I don't know how much cash T-Mobile has to swing around, they are still working on paying off the huge amount they spent for the AWS spectrum... It would be nice though, then I could use my G1 when I visit my parents and don't have to swap back to my Curve for UMA...
