OK, I sold T-mobile about a year ago in a sams club. Everytime I had to call CS for anything, they were always very polite, and always helpful. I liked it so much that I ended up getting my parents on T-Mobile. Granted I did get them in my name so i know that not paying your bill means they are going to be contacting me for anything about the acct. Well it looks like my parents had got into a tiff, and decided that they were not going to pay the bill. and never told me about it. So I was shocked when I got the call from collections today. I know that it is there job to get money from people. When they told me what was going on I was in shock. I do not get paid til friday, and told them I could make the full payment on friday. I ended up talk...

After reading the story, it looks like you were in contact with a 3rd party collection agency, not Tmo CS. In which case, those parties can be as rude as they want sadly, although there are laws for that. Did you ask the rep was she working for Tmo or a collection agency?

I agree with your last statement, I've seen too many episodes of Judge Judy regarding unpaid cell bills taken out in family/friends names 🤣

Yeah, you learned the hard way that when you sign a contract, it doesn't matter who is using it, you are responsible for it.

And you weren't dealing with T-Mobile.

All cell companies sell their outstanding debt, so you were dealing with a Collections agency.

Sorry about your bad turn of events. If your credit has been dinged, I'd at least try a dispute and see if you can get the negative rating overturned. Worth a shot.

yeah you were probably talking to a collection agency...unfortunaly they are nasty. the odds of you talking to the same person if it is tmobile directly is really low...they have like 18 coporate call centers with like 1000 people each plus other call centers they partner with. collection agencys are crazy mean alot of the times, t-mobile may have tried to call you. but if your contact number on the account was your parents number or blank, they would have had no way to get a hold of you about the collections. they do call to try to get money before it goes to a collection agency. Sorry you were treated so bad though...i've heard of collection agencys agents threating people even

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. I had that happen back when I had Verizon Wireless. I called about these weird charges on my bill. When I asked the woman about the charges, the first representative I spoke with, a real crab, told me "Well, What do you want me to do about it?" The second time I called, I actually got someone that was polite enough to help me work it out. Unfortunately, people like that exist with every company and they make the company look bad.

It's sad. Like I said. Some people are really rude and they make the company and the customer service look really bad. That stinks for that girl that needed help and was treated like nothing but dirt the whole time.
