TMO Insurance Question

MauiBuilt

Jan 27, 2008, 7:46 PM
So I have a Nokia 6133 with TMo and it is starting to take a dump on me. I'm wanting to buy the wing, but they want $370 for it at the store, which by all accounts is pretty cheap for that phone, but still steep. My question is, if I get an old, perhaps damaged one, and put an insurance claim on it, could I get a possibly new or refurb one in good condition from the insurance company? If there is anyway to swing this, I'm all about it. Thanks.

The insurance only covers new T-Mobile phones purchased in a corporate or indirect store.

If you really want a Wing, I have one Im selling for $250 that is in great physical shape. I also modified the CMOS to free up some memory. Only defect on it is that on my right ear I can hear a "whine" when the screen is on. Weird thing is, some people cant hear it, some can. Either way it is minor, and I got around it by using my left ear, or just turning off the screen while in a call.

If you want to make a deal just post hear and Ill get you some contact info.

Thanks for the info, that is good to know. I am interested in your phone, however, I really can't afford anything right now. I hear those stimulus checks are coming in June though, might have to go crazy and buy some cool s**t then...

Actually you can add insurance to ANY phone, it just has to be within 14 days of the first time you use the phone. The phone just has to work because in order for Asurion to cover the phone you have to make at least one phone call.
