I just found a link on Howard's Forum that enabled me to get a T-Mobile Wing for $49.95 (after rebate)with a one year contract, no activation fee, and free 2nd day air shipping. Even though the thread was a month old I called the T-mobile Business to business site gave them the promotional code. "windows mobile" and made the order at that price. Everything went as expected (no surprises). I was surprised.

I just checked their customer service site and my wing will arrive at my office tomorrow.

for verification sake the link is

Sorry I forgot to mention the price on the title of the previous posting. For me it was an offer I couldn't refuse. I wasn't sure that people were aware of this.

For those of you interested, please follow marxamuel's lead. Truly a great deal.

But you guys have to think when you would receive that phone. Also it's not hard for a indirect dealer to give you a wing for $100.00. I've given a wing for free and still got paid $180 from commission. The company will still pay you for it. but nice find none-the-less.

This is a T-mobile promotion, not some shoddy dealers as you think.

Usually a new line or new contract gets you the best deal. If you want to hang on to the same number, then upgrade is your only choice, I think.

If you print out this link, any TMO Corp store will honor this price.

http://walmart.letstalk.com/product/product.htm?prId ... »

It's a link where you can order the phone and pick it up at any walmart store for 49.99 with a 50 rebate.

My Corp store has told me they will honor ANY walmart/ competitor pricing.

Cheers!

The offer I passed along is for 1-year contract, no activation fee, no internet or data plan needed. This offers to Microsoft employees, family members and friends. You and everybody here qualify as "friends", right? Anyway, I put in my order on 10/17/07 and got mine in 2 days by mail.
The Walmart offer is free only with a internet plan for extra $19.99/month on top of the monthly plan, plus 2-year contract, and activation fee. It's $199 without the internet plan.
I still think the link I provided is a much better deal.

Oops, I mean to say the link provided by marxamuel is still a better deal. BTW, the unconfirmed source says the offer ends on 10/31.

Yea... I would assume so... becuase the No deposit promo you still have to buy the phone full price if you don't qualify.

I wasn't saying buy from Walmart's online store, I was saying printout the main page that lists all the phone and their prices.... Take the to a Tmo Corp store and they will price match and you don't have to get a certian rate plan or data plan. Trust me it works.... and KCMO816 has had it work for them too.... Just look at their post...

Not only that... but after the price match you are still eligable for all mail in rebates...

So I would say this route is WAYYYYY better. Your way you get a WING for 99 after rebate. My way you pay 49.99 up front and get a $50 mail in reabte.... making it FREE.

How is yours better again?

EXACTLY! Thanks to justinwilliams's post, I could've got the wing for 50 bucks, but I printed out the price for the curve (99.99) and the pearl (free) I walked out of the store paying only 116 bucks!! That's tax included. This way easily saved me AT LEAST 300 bucks for the curve and the pearl. THANKS AGAIN, that's the best advice I've received from this forum. 😁 😁 😁

Your are going to see activation fees of $35 each and Blackberry plans for each phone($20 each) and 2-year contract.
The Microsoft/T-mo deal waives activation fee, data plans, and only with 1 year contract. To get Curve and Pearl for free, you are paying $480/year for blackberry plan, and $70 activation fee on top of the monthly voice plans.
Are you aware of the the extra costs you'll paying each month?
I like the Curve too, but I don't like the monthly extras to have it.

I get that. The thing for me was/is I'm not a fan of windows os. I've had the worst experience with that from previous pda's. So for me, it's worth it because I don't have that headache, plus as a school administrator, my school pays a portion of my cell bill.

that the data plan is free on "your offer".... i find that hard to believe... that they would give you free data.... what was that link again?

On the other hand.... i didn't mean to get an arguement started... alot of people like myself will pay a little more to do business from a person that they can talk to locally....... I was just notating a way you can still do that and kill the price that a normal local customer pays.....and still get the value of having a live person responsible if they jack up your bill.... that happens so often when you do biz online.... they activate you on 4 39.99 plans then move it to a family plan the next day so they can make more commission... then the customers get 2 bills from 2 different BAN numbers.... ...

You forget to mention to get free Wing or Curve at Walmart/Let's Talk, the $20/month data plan and 2-year contract, plus $35 activation fee are all required. If you figure all these extra costs in, how can you say it's a better deal?

Oct 31, 2007, 10:40 PM
YES I understand that if you activate with Lets Talk that is all required.... but what I am saying is if you PRINT OFF THAT OFFER from Walmart.com and take it to a T-Mobile corp store YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ADD ALL THE CRAP you don't want and THEY WILL HONOR WALMART'S PRICE. Hell you can put 5 lines on 19.99 plan and get 5 phones at that price with NO DATA.
